Updates from the Wilsons in Dublin and the Table
It would be challenging to express how different our lives seem this Autumn compared to just last Spring. Below are some ministry and family updates, giving you a peek at some of the changes.
The Table
Sundays
Getting our bearing again after Covid was a challenge. It has begun to feel like we are gaining traction, which has been encouraging. We have been gathering at 4 pm on Sundays for worship, prayer and a Bible-based discussion. Afterwards, we share a meal, and people have been hanging out for a couple of hours afterwards. These have been relaxing and enjoyable times.
Public Space
With how Sundays are progressing, we are beginning to look for public space to rent on a couple of Sundays per month. As you might imagine, most people aren’t going to show up at a house where they don’t know anyone, and for safety reasons, most people don’t want their address posted online.
We have been looking for a few weeks and have asked a few places, but we do not have any leads now. We would appreciate prayer that we find a space in the next three months.
Pub Pilgrims
Our public discussion group, Pub Pilgrims, kicks off on September 28. We plan to meet 2 Thursdays per month throughout the year. We met several people through this last year…a couple who have become regulars! Pray that this outreach becomes a way for us to bless many people in our community.

Family
This year’s most significant change has been how much Méabh loves her new school! We are so happy with how this year has gone for her. Thank you for praying for her.
Thank you for praying for Elizabeth’s health. The past month has had some stressful moments, but we are thankful she is doing well now! She is continuing to look for work.
I (Bob) have been the sole teacher for our Sunday gathering for the past few months. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity, but I am hoping that this is something that will be shared more over the coming weeks. I have begun meeting monthly with other church planters, several of whom are on the Northside. That has been encouraging.
I am also focused on increasing our monthly financial support. We recently received an updated budget from Communitas, and we need to raise $5,700 in new monthly support. If you want to learn more about becoming one of our ministry partners, we’d love to chat. Please send me a note .👇👇
Communitas Giving Day - October 19, 2023
While increasing our monthly support is crucial, Giving Day is likewise important for us.
This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 on Giving Day.
Thankfully, we have received 4 matching gifts totalling $13,500! So, to reach our goal, we need to raise $6,500 on Thursday, October 19.
Here’s how this works: the four matching gifts are for $6,000, $5,000, $1,500 and $1,000.
Whatever you give to church planting in Dublin on Giving Day is multiplied. For example, every dollar between $1 and $1,000 receives a 4 to 1 match, making a $500 gift worth $2,500!
Every gift between $1,000 and $1,500 is multiplied 3 to 1…You get the idea.
Each of these gifts is one-for-one, meaning that to receive the total $6,000 matching gift, we need to raise $6,000 on the 19th.
